Scoring Science & Methodology
VigorTrace uses transparent behavioral models built from evidence-informed lifestyle proxies. These scores are educational and non-diagnostic.
Core Daily Scores
- Vitality Score: weighted normalization of libido, energy, motivation, confidence, and mood (0-100).
- Recovery Index: sleep quantity/quality, activity balance, hydration/protein support, alcohol and stress penalties.
- Inflammation Load: sleep deficit, alcohol, low plant/fiber/hydration patterns, and stress burden (higher is worse).
Evidence Calibration Status
High confidence
Sleep duration/quality and alcohol impact
Strong evidence supports sleep and alcohol as major drivers of recovery, mood, and next-day performance.
High confidence
Activity volume and protein sufficiency
Physical activity and adequate protein are strongly linked to metabolic and training outcomes.
Moderate confidence
Inflammation proxy model
Lifestyle factors used in the model are biologically plausible, but the composite score is heuristic.
Moderate confidence
Exact weightings and penalties
Current weightings are deterministic MVP settings for consistency, not clinically validated equations.
What This Means Practically
- The direction of change is usually more meaningful than a single-day absolute value.
- Scores are best interpreted as behavioral readiness/risk signals, not medical outcomes.
- Persistent symptoms, severe pain, chest pain, fainting, or suicidal thoughts require clinical care.
- Red-flag symptom flow suppresses supplement guidance by design.
Planned Calibration Upgrades
- Personalize protein thresholds from bodyweight in all score pathways.
- Refine high-step recovery logic with training-load context instead of static penalties.
- Back-test score ranges on larger anonymized datasets before release candidates.
- Publish model-version changelog whenever scoring coefficients are updated.

7-Day Scientific Snapshot
Journey analysis computes additional behavioral proxy scores for hormonal readiness, libido resilience, mental resilience, and metabolic health from 7-day trends.
- Sleep debt, stress load, alcohol exposure, activity volume, and diet quality drive risk gradients.
- Pattern strength and recurrence determine pathway recommendation priority.
- Red-flag symptoms trigger safety-block mode and suppress premium optimization recommendations.
Important Clinical Boundary
These models are not substitutes for clinical laboratory interpretation, diagnosis, or treatment planning. Use as a decision-support education layer and seek medical assessment for persistent or severe symptoms.
